Nettakallappa Aquatic Centre
A magnificent swim centre located within the Deccan International School campus provides Olympic sized swimming pools & facilities.The centre began its operations in 2012 with an affiliation to the Karnataka Swimming Association, with an aim to promote young talent and encourage swimming for a healthier work-life balance.
With a team of over a dozen internationally certified and experienced coaches & trainers, the centre has trained over 50 children in the Competitive Category, over 180 children in the Pre Competitive Category and over 50 children for the Water Polo Team. The centre also hosts over 300 Lap Swimmers and has been successfully teaching adults to swim throughout the year.
Nettakallappa Aquatic Centre in cooperation with the local schools, has been successfully running School Swim Programs to promote swimming not only as a sport but also as an essential life skill. The Centre not only teaches swimming but actively promotes it as a lifestyle with a range of programs that are offered to all age groups.
The Ashram School
The Ashram School was established in 1988, with the intent to serve students from economically weaker sections of the community. It is a Kannada-medium, co-educational school situated adjacent to the Deccan International School Campus.
Over the years, various vocational courses were introduced of which only the tailoring course continues. The school is in the process of reintroducing more programs, as well as developing programs for the needs of physically and mentally challenged students.
